Secondary School of Engineering is situated in the city of Hradec Králové which lies 100 km east of our capital Prague.  Our region offers rich cultural heritage and historical monuments and we have not far to go to our highest mountains „Krkonoše“.

You can find our school near the city centre. The school complex is made up of a historical building built in 1923-1924 which is a listed sight of the Czech Republic. The other modern parts were added in the second half of the 20th century.

 

Our school accepts pupils after completing their 9-year school attendance. It provides  its students aged 15 – 19 the full secondary vocational training lasting 4 years and it is finished with the leaving exam certificate. Our school also guarantees the preparation for entrance exams to college or university.

 

Applicants for studying at our school have the possibility to choose one of the following specializations:  Mechanical Engineering,  Automation Technology, Electronic Engineering, Technical Seminary.

Apart from these specializations our school provides the course of Business Study for  apprentice school graduates.

 

Our school is well-equipped. The pupils can use a central school library equipped with computers, a gym and a modern school fitness centre, a playground, well equipped IT laboratories with access to the Internet and workshops.

 

The students are involved in a lot of specialized projects and various sports activities. We organize foreign country tours (Germany, Great Britain), study trips, skiing courses in the mountains. We go to Klicpera´s theatre and film performances every year.
